The design & Sculpt

IMG_20190219_195330.jpg
The final(ish) sketch of Omen in the early days of the design for the bust.
Early stages of sculpting the bust. Armature made, plaster and clay on, starting to work with basic shapes.
Final shape and form beginning to take place...
Texturing done, now time to start building the wall to begin the fiberglass casting...

Making the Mould

Fiberglassing the front and back of the sculpt...
Some dramatic destruction after the fiberglass mould is complete...
After layering the silicone skin, and filling with biscuit foam, the foundations of the bust were almost ready to paint...

Seaming & finishing

After pinning, seaming and sticking the wooden stretcher in, I made the resin eyes and prepped the silicone skin for painting...

Paint

Building up layers of paint with veins and contouring. Also discussing the next stages of war paint with Neill Gorton on his visit to Millennium FX...
After piercing the remaining earrings in, on went the war paint...
